Shop Minigame

Up next — designed and queued to build. (priority P3)

Last updated 2026-08-15 · What's changed

The shop learns to play back

Master Brambleforge stops being a vending machine. Haggle a price and the dice decide — win and the price bends your way, fail and it stiffens. Feeling bold? Try to pocket something and hope he doesn't notice; get caught and you're banned from the shop until your DM pardons you. Every deal feeds the shopkeeper's own level: the more the table trades, the sharper he gets.

The full rules are already written up on the House Rules page — this entry tracks when it's coming.

The DM stays in charge

Everything the minigame does through the AI, the DM can do by hand: set standings, pardon bans, disable the whole game for the table, or run any of it manually. The dice live inside the game's own rules — the shopkeeper never rolls in secret for anything that matters without the outcome showing up where everyone can see it.

What it waits on

  • Waits on Hidden Catalog — the haggling and stealing are priced in information asymmetry that only exists once the catalog is hidden.

Changes

  • 2026-08-15 Still queued behind the Hidden Catalog; the quick Item Editing feature slots ahead of both. Haggling discounts and theft attempts will stick to the shop listing itself, so a DM tune-up never wipes out what you earned at the counter.
  • 2026-07-24 Planned end to end — twenty build slices queued behind the Hidden Catalog.
