Terms of Service

A hobby service, not a business
Arcane Academy is a personal, non-commercial project — a campaign companion for a family-and-friends D&D 4th Edition table, built and run by one person. It's provided "as is," with no warranty and no promise of uptime. It can be changed, taken offline for maintenance, or discontinued entirely at any time, hopefully with some notice to the table if that ever happens.
Your content stays yours
The characters, campaigns, and items you create belong to you. By putting them into Arcane Academy, you're giving the service permission to store and display them so your table — your fellow players and your DM — can see and use them as part of the game. That's the only use they're put to.
Playing fair
Please don't try to abuse the service or gain unauthorized access to accounts, campaigns, or data that aren't yours. The AI helpers in the app — Scout, the Quartermaster, campaign shopkeepers, and the character importer — are assistants, not decision-makers: anything consequential they suggest is reviewed and approved by a human, namely the campaign's Dungeon Master, before it takes effect.
Accounts and termination
If an account or its content breaks these rules, the operator may remove it. You're free to stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your settings.
Trademark disclaimer
Arcane Academy is an independent, unofficial companion tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, or D&D Beyond. "Dungeons & Dragons" and "D&D Beyond" are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
