The shop bends to your table

Every campaign shop stocks items from the shared catalog and the DM's own forge. This feature lets the DM tune any item on that shelf — price, damage, description, anything — right where it sits, by hand in the Armory or by asking Master Brambleforge to make the change (with the DM's sign-off, always). The edit belongs to that campaign alone.

The one rule it lives by: what's already yours never changes. A tune-up on the shelf touches nothing a player bought or was awarded before it — your sword keeps exactly the stats it had when it entered your pack, no matter how many times the shop copy changes after. The original item stays untouched everywhere else too, so one table's house version never leaks into another campaign.

Purchases stay honest along the way: you're charged exactly what the confirmation showed you, never a price that changed while you were deciding. The feature is designed to compose with the Hidden Catalog and the Shop Minigame, which share the same Armory counter.

Changes

  • 2026-08-18 Hardened. The promise that your copies and your DM’s tailored items survive a deletion is now enforced by the database itself, not by careful code alone.
  • 2026-08-18 Shipped. Your DM can tailor any stocked item for the campaign — by hand at the Armory or by asking Master Brambleforge — and everything already in your pack keeps exactly the stats you got it with. Purchases now always charge exactly the price you confirmed.
  • 2026-08-15 Planned end to end after a three-reviewer pass: a shop edit makes this campaign’s own version of the item — the original and everything already in your pack keep exactly the stats you got them with.
  • 2026-08-15 Implementation planned: campaign-local versions with freeze-at-acquisition, price-honest purchases, and a three-slice build that lays the invisible data foundation before any edit ships. Architecture page published.
  • 2026-08-15 Build started. The invisible foundation is in: every purchase, award, and loot drop now freezes your copy at the values you got it with, and buying is locked to your campaign’s own shelf.
